 I flew this route several years ago aboard Silk Airlines. Silk has been acquired/merged with Singapore Airlines. Same seats, but enhanced service and catering for a 1.5 hour flight.  Took me a while to complete this, but being newly retired I should be popping reviews out with more frequency. TAP's Intra-European Business Class product is similar to other European carriers. Meal was good, but they serve a hot meal other times of the day.   My wife and I braved the entry requirements to visit Thailand in February/March of this year (2022). At the time Phuket HKT was the only airport visitors could fly to outside of Thailand. United Airlines along with JAL are bringing back Supersonic flying. Cutting flight times in half. Having returned to flying in August 2020 I was happy and grateful to be back on an airplane traveling again, but I missed the service prior to Covid-19. I found that the LAX - MIA route and LAX/SFO - JFK routes still catered hot meals and many of the amenities pre-Covid. I have made the drive several times to LAX to experience these routes (mostly LAX/MIA).   I have flown several times since August 2020 on United, American, Delta, Alaska, and Aeromexico. I have felt safe flying on every trip I have taken. The airlines are very strict with enforcing wearing masks. It is actually easier traveling now as flights are almost always on time, the airports are not full, so wait times at security are much less than they were. However, domestic travel has started to rebound. The only downside is service (especially in First Class).                                               Probably not the best time to review an airline's Business Class during a pandemic and all the reductions in service it has caused, but the basics are still the same. My wife and I flew from Cancun to Mexico City and continued on to Tijuana on AeroMexico. My wife and I had the pleasure and good fortune (returned one week before shutdown) to visit French Polynesia in Feb/March 2020. We flew back on Air France mostly because it was a morning departure and allowed us to spend one more night in Tahiti. Also, it had been many years since I flew Air France's Business Class and wanted to try them again. Was very happy with that decision. Alitalia's Medium Haul Business Class is similar to most other European Airlines Intra-Europe flights. Economy Class seats in a 3x3 configuration with the middle seat blocked. I hadn't flown on Alitalia in a while and when I did they did not have the best reputation. So I was looking forward to see what improvements they had made.
